The main ESOC event occurring each year is the ESOC
Conference. This is an all day affair involving
many high-profile guest speakers speaking on the particular
conference theme. Each year the Conference Theme is
altered. The Conference takes place in early November.
It gives UCC students an opportunity to listen and interact
with todays business leaders and entrepreneurs.
An number of Field Trips
usually take place throughout the year. These involve
visiting some places of interest for budding entrpreneurs.
Last year a trip was organised to Coolmore Stud, owned
by J.P. McManus and John Magnier, and residense of Sadlers
Wells.
The ESOC Good Idea Competition
runs throughout the year. The competition gives UCC
students an opportunity to develop and create a viable
business idea. Numerous category winners are presented
throughout the year. A substantial cash prize is awarded
to each winner along with an opportunity to further
your idea through a consultation process with our panel
of experts.
